Relocating to Lexington, SC
Moving to the Midlands is easier when someone can translate highway exits into actual towns. Lexington is not Columbia. I grew up here, so the first calls are about your people, your work, and which grocery store you will actually use.
1. Pick a town name you can explain
If you are moving from out of state, you need a sentence that is true. We live in Lexington and get to the lake on weekends is a different life than we live near the lake and that is the point. I'll help you try those sentences on.
2. Visit like a local
Drive the commute you think you want. Sit in a parking lot at school pickup if that will be your life. Walk a grocery. Eat lunch in town and notice whether the pace feels like you.
3. School districts
District names are public geography. Confirm attendance lines with the district. If you need academic data, go to primary sources.
4. Temporary housing vs. buying on the first trip
Some relocators buy on a compressed timeline because work demands it. Others rent first and learn the river fog, the lake traffic, and which friends they actually make. Either path is fine. The mistake is pretending you already know a town if you only saw a sunset.

Which areas do you cover for incoming buyers?
Lexington, Gilbert, Batesburg-Leesville, West Columbia, Cayce, Springdale, Columbia, Lugoff, Blythewood, Irmo, Chapin, Pomaria, Lake Murray, and both Richland and Lexington Counties.
Is Lexington the same as Columbia?
No. Lexington is its own town. Columbia is in-town. Lake Murray is its own search. Tell me how you live and I'll help you sort it.
Will you rate the schools?
No. I name the district. Confirm the address with them.
